AdSeek:

The online classified advertising of the Herald-Sun newspapers, Durham, NC.

The site is designed to allow users access to all of their options and search results from one simple interface.

The Herald-Sun Online HS Online:

The homepage for the Herald-Sun. As a paper that does not put daily news online, the Herald-Sun site offers other value-added services.

"What-When-Where" provides calendar information that is searchable and categorized by event types. The design is contemporary without sacrificing utility.
NCDAC:

The North Carolina Diabetes Advisory Council publishes a quarterly news magazine through the Herald-Sun. We designed a site to archive important articles from past issues.

As the archive grows, search capabilities will be added. While the site remains small, articles are indexed under several headings for simple online browsing.

Listen Online Listen:

Listen magazine is the bimonthly magazine of WUNC-FM radio. The contents of each issue are posted online.

With issues dating back to 1994 online, Listen illustrates some interesting evolution in web design.
Adventures:

The North Carolina Museum of Life and Science publishes a news magazine six times a year. We developed a site that allows past feature articles to be archived online, together with children's activities and other "timeless" content -- while dated content is dropped after each issue.

The site layout is simple (compatible with the older computers in some elementary schools,) but children's areas are rich in illustrations.

New Faces/New Voices New Faces, New Voices:

As odd as it may seem, a newspaper may not be able to do everything the editors would like to do with a feature story -- because it would be too expensive to print.

The web opened some exciting areas for the feature writers at the Herald-Sun. "New Faces, New Voices" presents a multi-part series on hispanics living in the Durham, NC area, and it presents the material in both English and Spanish, (a luxury too expensive for the daily paper to print.)

Design decisions called for each page of the site to exist in both languages. Surprisingly successful, the site is now used in foreign language classes!
The E-Quad News:

Princeton University's School of Engineering and Applied Science publishes the E-Quad News four times a year for students, faculty, and alumni.

Previously available online only as PDFs, the HTML site provides an improved online reading experience and the opportunity to index multiple issues for searches.

MECA MECA:

Princeton University's Multimedia Engineering Computation Atelier generates hi-end multimedia applications for use in the classroom.

What might have been a very cluttered navigation area was simplified with the user of JavaScript and simple pull-down menus.

A Homepage:

I sometimes wonder if designers ever actually _finish_ their own homepages.

A work in progress, I am developing pages that allow me to spend plenty of time in Photoshop.
